Waste to Energy

The Pyros Waste to Energy plant currently exports more than 34,000 megawatt hours of electricity every year – enough to supply 7,250 UK households.

In line with UK government and regulator policy, Pyros are investing significantly in this national asset to help relieve some of the challenge of wastes (both hazardous and non hazardous) that are no longer suitable for landfill.

This PPC permitted plant has capacity to processes up to 60000 tonnes of waste per annum. Already operating for over five years under tight emission controls the plant is able to trial and receive new waste streams without detriment to the Environment or personnel.
